Things Consider Before Applying
- Talk to your pastor, elders or leaders in your church. Make them aware of your plans.
- EAFC mostly works with churches (or indigenous missions in Africa). It's the churches who are commending and recommending students because they sense God's leading them to invest in this person's life for training for Kingdom work.
- If the church does not catch the vision of what EAFC is trying to do, or if the church does not believe in you as one they would want to invest in, then you need not go further. But if they do, then begin working with them.
- Fill out an application form and make a copy for the church's files. Have the church send your application to the proper EAFC office along with their church partnership form. Make sure that you have provided them with a recent photograph of yourself. The church may either fax or email the completed application package to the appropriate EAFC office.
- Once a student has been selected, it is up to the church to communicate with EAFC. This may be your pastor or another elder or leader that has been given the task of communicating with EAFC so that partnership details can be arranged. Until this has been worked out, the student is not really approved. Even if he has passed the first stage of becoming an active candidate, the student is given any funds without the details worked out between EAFC and the church.
- EAFC informs both the student and the church via email of the potential selection, provided that the church and EAFC come to an agreement in regard to each party's responsibilities regarding the student's needs.
- If you do not fill in every blank, or follow directions completely, your application will not be considered.
